Welcome to Set Free Prison Ministries

Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.

                                                                                                                            - 1 Peter 5:7 -

The COVID-19 pandemic has shaken the world.  God does not want His children (us) living in fear. The Bible says, “God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7). We need to remember that God is bigger than the coronavirus. This is a wakeup call for all.  It is also an urgent time for all of us to fervently pray for God’s help.

The Bible says, “I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29:11). And the Lord promises, “Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know “(Jeremiah 33:3). God encourages us not to be anxious about anything but in everything to pray and God‘s peace will guard our hearts and minds (Philippians 4:6-9). Also, God’s Word says, “Cast all your care on Him for He cares for you” (1 Peter 5:7). Worry, fear and anxiety won’t change anything but prayer will.  Prayer, accompanied by faith in the Lord and His promises does! Faith filled prayer is the most powerful thing we can do (Hebrews 11:6, James 1:5-8). With God all things are possible (Matthew 19:26).

Never feel helpless. God can powerfully use YOU right where you are

to impact the world through your prayers! With God’s help,

we will get through this disaster.

PRAY WITH US FOR:

--Our nation, our president, world leaders, for God’s guidance and wisdom.
--God’s protection for medical professionals, caregivers, and researchers responsible for fighting the coronavirus.
--God’s provision of much needed medical equipment and supplies.
--God’s protection and peace for all those who are incarcerated, the prisons’ staff, loved ones, and their family members.
--Set Free for our safety and protection. We continue to send God’s Word to over 4,500 active students in hundreds of jails and prisons throughout the United States. Pray also for our financial needs, that the Lord would continue to provide the needed resources.

WITNESS

--Share the Gospel with your contacts - in the spirit of love and genuine humility.
--Know that you are precious to the Lord. You belong to Him and He loves you with an everlasting love (Romans 8:28-39).
The Lord can work through YOU in a powerful way, right where you are

to change lives for both time and eternity.

                                                             (Roman 1:16, 2Timothy 2:24-26, and 4:2-5).

What We do

We provide Bible study courses in English and Spanish to inmates and their family, totally free of charge, all throughout the United States. We pay the postage both ways as many inmates are completely destitute. Our high-quality curriculum consists of Bible courses from the Navigators in Colorado Springs, Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, and Emmaus Correspondence School in Iowa. We currently have over 4500 active students who are studying the Bible study courses we provide.

Since 1971

This year Set Free reached another milestone as we entered our 49th year of full-time prison ministry. We are so grateful to the Lord for His unfailing love, unwavering faithfulness, genuine miracles, His leading and all He accomplished over the past 48 years. We are not only thankful to the Lord, but our hearts are filled with gratitude to those who have partnered with us over the past many years. Some have stood with us for many decades, and several from 1971 when the ministry began.  We know the Lord provides, but we also know He provides in response to fervent prayer, and provides through the kind generosity of His loving people. This is what enables us to keep sharing the good news of the Gospel, day after day, month after month and year after year.

Current Newsletter

Our students responded to our challenges and thus, we
have been literally flooded with thousands of completed
Bible courses and new enrollments in the past seven
weeks. We are currently experiencing the greatest
response to the Gospel that I’ve ever seen in the U.S.
prisons in our 49-year history! We are truly greatly
rejoicing!
